31 May 2017 - First meeting of the registered association. Meeting held at the Royal Lake Club to discuss the formation of an association of people interested in data science. The Executive Committee was introduced. Dr Rom initiated the idea of a journal and a sub committee formed to further the initiative. There are two other subcommittees – The professional Certification Subcommittee and the Data Science Industry Subcommittee. Volunteers welcome.
14 June 2017 - Second meeting attended by 30 people agreed to proceed with the formation of a data science association and discussed the broad objectives the association will adopt.
